Art Deco Style

This fashion emerged in Paris in the 1920s and 1930s, not long after the city hosted an artists exhibition in 1925. This style places an emphasis on opulence and sophistication, while drawing inspiration from modernism. Art Deco is characterized by the use of regular geometric shapes, lines that run vertically, and smooth surfaces. Art Deco is a daring style that frequently makes use of plate glass and surfaces that are lacquered in a dark color.
